My best was a 12.98 @ 104.96! Not bad for a four door sled....and I had an almost full tank of gas as well. Next step now that I got my new wheels on (need to post pics soon) will be some exhaust dumps to open 'er up a bit seeing as my exhaust is only 2 1/4" not 2 1/2" like I originally thought! Some more gear would help too, as my 3.89's aren't quite enough and my garbage torque converter is probably the biggest problem right now! I'm happy with it for now!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Sooner or later I see a 6.0 or better happening as I need a low 12/high 11 four door!!!!!!!!!

Heck ya man, finally got that 12!!! I'm extremely happy with it, you are right behind Dan on passes when you're there, both you and him literally go round and round when the staging lanes permit, and no failures! I was suprised at the weight, and as you said this was with a full tank of fuel: It actually weighs less than my Camaro! Let's take that to the calculator and see what she's making: www.fbody.com/calc.htm3650 on 104.47=324 RWHP, or ~400 fly HP, assuming .19 drivetrain loss (9in and TH350). That's pretty good man! For those of you skeptics on those online calculators, here's my numbers. I'd say the online calculator is within ~20 HP, IF you know your ACCURATE weight and MPH: Weight = 3700lbs (full street trim, Speaker box, 18's on front, 1/4 tank of fuel) 110.71 MPH = 391.84 RWHP. I Dyno'd 377 at sea level, 350 at altitude on a 3500ft D/A day, on a Mustang dyno which are notorious for lower numbers, albeit more real world. So around ~480 fly. I think the calc is a little high, but close enough for me, the numbers seem very close to feasible. The little 5.3's aren't too far behind their big brothers with the same mod's no doudt! For the price difference, if mine ever blows, it will get a 5.3L to replace it, for $500 vs $1500! The D/A wasn't the best either, we actually went up in D/A as the day progressed right until the end, but it only settled to around 2,000 ft.

yeah it seems to be close, wind drag between the cars is about all that would make the difference. with my track waight at 4040 and 400rwhp it said 12.59 at 108.2, I did 12.58 at 106 but im shur had id been a car at the same waight it would have done the 108 ease. And if I do 106mph to 112.6 witch is what it did on the 75rwhp shot it gos from 375 to 450. Thats right on the money..

Thanks for posting that picture and info Al! And thanks for the compliments on the car from everyone else!!!
I'm really happy with how it runs. I need a license plate that says "I Love My LS1" LOL! It's nice to finally have this car reliable enough to run circles around the dragstrip with no issues.
I figure my next mod right now is getting some exhaust dumps installed. Then after that I will find the motivation to swap out my junk torque converter for something a little looser and see what happens.
Hopefully I'll find time to post a pic of the car with new wheels soon!

I have a !!!!!FREE!!!!! PTC converter for ya. If it works out and the car leaves harder, that's a huge bonus. If it doesn't.. take it out, replace it with something suited, and give it back. I just wanna see it roll out, and this converter isn't doing anything in my garage! It's only gonna cost you an afternoon and some tranny fluid..

Yep theres more left with a converter, with your waight that 5.3 can push a 1.7 60 with the right converter.

I think from what you told me about it, and what I have researched, it should work about perfect for my application. I really do appreciate it!!!!!!!! Would love to get this boat into the mid twelves with my little 5.3!!!!!!!! I think it can be done with some work....
