Well I guess I'll post some pics of my pile. It's really nothing special, but I plan to bracket this wagon every track day. First week I had it, up on jack stands.. go figure. Stock look, with junk fogged-over headlights The manta stripe and Halo headlights/HID bulb setup came next Throwing some adjustable QA1 shocks on up front, with Competition Engineering rears Bigs are mounted.. 325/50/15 on Race Star Industry 15x10 Littles are mounted.. 165/80/r15s on 15x3.5s T56 6-speed out, th350 with trans brake soon to replace it F-body in it's typical positon.. on jack stands, go figure. $30,000 in Mac tools doin the job $1,000 clutch setup that can't handle this slow shit box (Textrailia) Worn out after about 5k miles of love Flywheel after all of the fun That's all I have for now. The car is at 480rwhp/465rwtq through full exhaust on a pretty conservative tune. With the cutout and alans tuning it will pick up some. It's just your average 408 stroker camaro. Hunting for 10s this year, if not it's for sale. If it doesn't yank both front tires, it's for sale. More to come, very soon. Sorry for the drunk post.

The headlights and stripe kit really changed the car, i like. Lol, even in your drunken inebriation you're just as humorous.
It'd be badass to see the SS tearing up the bracket class with us this year!

Wow.. I don't remember much of that, but I did a fairly good job of posting. Long evening.
Adjustable panhard bar is going on today, as well as lowering the front QA1s, and then I'll probably do some much-needed cleaning to it. It's been sitting 90% of the winter so I haven't had much motivation to keep it looking nice. Underhood de-stickering and cleaning too. More updates today!

Well.. I dragged my feet around for a couple hours and didn't get started working on it till 5pm or so. No panhard bar or lowering happened today unfortunately, because I was looking at my shitty "temporary" HID wiring and decided it had to change. I got my new HID fog light bulbs in the mail so it was a good time to start on it. I wired the angel eyes in to the side markers.. so they come on with the key. I'm not sure if I like them yet.. if I decide against them I can always unplug them. I had the wiring done pretty legit for them and had the ballast mounted pretty decent "for now.." I'm going to tear the front end off for some more work pretty soon so I didn't want anything too permanent. And then comes the mental breakdown of FlashLCD33. I ordered 2 different sets of HIDS, 1 set in 55 watt 8000k for the low beams and 1 set in 35 watt 6000k for the fog lights. The extra power/brightness of the 55w washes out some of the color, so they end up looking identical if you have this setup. Well the ballasts look the same, the plugs are the same, etc.. so I didn't think anything of it and I spent over 2 hours mounting and wiring the ballasts for just the driver side... doing them "perfect." The result: Dim fucking blue headlights, and bright ass white fog lights. I took a step back.. and took a few minutes to ponder what had just happened. Yes.. I hooked the 55w ballast up to the fog lights and the 35w ballast to the low beams... and spent 2+ hours making them absolutely perfect. Yes.. I was pissed, and decide it was late and I was going to hurry to get them on there since they're coming off soon anyways. I did do a pretty decent job still, but not as meticulously as before. I decided while i had the headlight out and had some room, I was gonna lose some weight and clean up the engine bay a little. Good bye, air pump Now that the ballasts are right, I have EVEN color. Here they are warming up (approx 30 sec for full warm up) And here they are after a minute of being on.. BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT white with a blue tint. I should have no vision problems.. I know it's not a very good update.. I promise there will be more to come tomorrow. I'm planning on taking the EGR/AIR off (idk why the dipshit before me put emissions headers on it.. I'm thinking about ordering some new ones while the trans is out and the exhaust is apart because these are very rusty and nasty) and hopefully lowering the QA1s and putting the panhard bar on. Tuesday my transmission will be ready so I'll be heading to pick it up when I'm off work.. wednesday I'm going to try to make some progress on getting the trans installed. I'm hoping it will be ready by the weekend for a test drive The car is going up to work right away when it is driving and getting a FULL detail. It had to sit outside for a couple weeks through the rain/snow/etc.. I also took it out to a buddies house and didn't realize his driveway was terribly muddy untill after I had picked him up. And the previous owner really just didn't keep it clean. I couple passes with the pressure washer and a lot of buffing and she'll be shining.

Those lights are soooo kick ass. I might have to add some on the to do list, especially with the prices being like they are.
Things are lining up here on the GB end, I should be ready for ya about the time the weather cooperates.

The new trans has arrived. Built for 1000+hp TH350, reverse manual valvebody, trans brake, the goods. Dirty floor Converter Standing tall... Cooler I got from a buddy Cooler lines, shifter, and Lokar dipstick The converter wasn't quite what I was expecting. It's a 10.5" PTC conveter, and it's not really the route I'm wanting to take. So instead of half-assing it, I'm just going to spend the coin and do it right the first time. I'll be ordering a custom built Circle D converter, 4500 stall NA but it should still be reasonable on the juice. I have this 10.5" PTC 3000 stall TH350 converter for sale if anyone is interested, $459 new + ship Im looking for 300. Only has a few track passes on it as far as I know.

Most people seem to think they're weak. I used to think so also. Technology has come a long ways, even for a 40 year old trans.
I know of several that are well in to the 8s. This car will never go that far.. lol

That..... is a beautiful trans.
I was always under the impression TH350's were very strong, even stock. I know a LOT of guys run them mildly modified and have no complaints.
I like the progress! Can't wait to see her in action!

Wow, nice trans! Who built it??
I'll be wanting something like that when I blow up my current 350 and do an LS swap in my Chevelle.

Well the converter I got with the trans wasn't exactly what I expected, so I scored a deal on a used Precision Industries Vigilante 4500 stall converter (pink, to match the princess theme!) off of LS1Tech. I just couldn't justify spending $950 on a custom Circle D converter, even though I know it would probably give me better results. This 4500 stall will be PERFECT for my car NA, but it will probably be a little loose when I'm on the juice. I haven't secured a nitrous kit yet though, so the idea of spraying it is still up in the air. I would really like to, but I don't really have the extra coin to throw around at the time. I was really banking on getting paid for my fking motorcycle accident (car ran a stop sign, I t-boned them, been 4 months now and I still haven't even gotten paid for the bike) to finish this car. I know to not depend on money until it's in your hands.. but my god, 4 months later and I'm still making payments on a totaled bike. I've also sent PMs on a drag rear sway bar to 2 people.. I want this car launching evenly.. and preferably with the front tires in the air . I found both a Spohn and BMR unit.. I'm waiting on whoever PMs me back first with a better price. I haven't been too motivated to work on the car since I've been searching for a converter.. maybe this week I'll get some updates. Hopefully I can get everything done so all I have to do is stab the trans this weekend after Al gets the converter flushed for me Thanks big guy.. now we have matching pink converters!

Well I've been sick all week with something along the lines of Strep, H1N1, or HIV, so I laid in bed monday-wednesday and did absolutely nothing. I made it to work today but drug ass and now I feel worse because of it, BUT I did get some shopping done afterwords!
The cooler/cooler lines I got use AN fittings, and obviously a TH350 does not. I figured it would be no big deal, I could find an adapter from AN to 1/4 pipe easily. Not the case. I stopped by Fastenal, then every parts store, and nothing. I gave ole BenJammin' (Ben Staab@Bens Machine) a call, and with his grand expertise, he led me right to them.. at my local Sit&Wait. I was in S&W for less than 10 minutes and voila!, 2 shiny adapter fittings. I didn't have any hassle at all, and he brought the right part the first time. This is a first in my book for them.. but they sometimes have oddball shit. Apparently AN fittings are commonplace on heavy equipment, so anybody that deals with hydraulic hoses will have them. Didn't know that, now I do.
A couple minutes later at Advance, I have all of the grade 8 bolts I need for the torque converter and the transmission mount, and some high-f'in-dollar high-heat looming for my E-cutout wire so it stops getting torched. And a couple gallons of tranny fluid to fill this beast.
I'm planning on being a good boy (sober) this weekend so I can actually get something done.. if I'm over my sickness. I'd like to have this out on the street Sunday weather permitting (doesn't look good). I have a lotta, lotta work to do though. 5 boxes of goodies stuffed in the garage along with some parts i've had sitting in there since i've owned the car.
This is the final grind to race season! Except for a cage and whatever BS saftey I need depending on my ET. I'm not sure what route to go for that, yet! This car has REALLY drained my pockets, so that may be a factor as well.
