Thanks for the kind words John! The intent is to keep the car as stockish as possible throughout the swap, and compromise as little as possible. Got the Throttle cable bracket built. Cruise control cable hooked up as well: Also got a Power Steering line fabbed. Just cut off the Ford pump end of the Ford hose, flared to a brake line Inverted Flare, then made a line for the GM pump out of some brake line with the flaring tool, and joined them with a union: Also got a damn good start on what I thought was going to be the hardest part of the swap. The trans shifter cable. I was able to use the stock cable after all. I ended up taking the stock Ford cable bracket and grafting it with the 4L80E bracket. All I gotta do is get some hardware and bolt the cable to the trans arm. She shifts gears at the moment, just a little play tho till I get it bolted down solid. Won't be long boys and this pig will be mobile: I'm excited! It may be a grandma car, but it's nearly new and i'm eager to enjoy it: I'm gearing up for a solid 2 day this coming weeekend. If all goes well, I should have a SOLID lead on the wiring. After that, I need to mount the regulator and plumb the fuel system, but I already have a return/pressure line in the engine bay that's setup for the stock quick disconnect, so it won't take long to run some braided and fittings to where they need to go. The goal is running by the end of the month, i'm sure going to try!

Sweetness, sounds like a smoother swap then the fox was. I surprised how well it's worked out so far.

Thanks Jake.
Yes, it's going MUCH faster than the Mustang. I think a lot of it is this is my 2nd Turbo build, and the Mustang had a pretty decent learning curve because of that. Also, this car has quite a bit of room to play with so that helps too.
Made a little video tonight of my progress. Just got the stock shifter to work like a champ. I thought this might be my biggest problem, as both the guys on LS1tech that are also building Vics used floor shifters, not something I am willing to do by any means.

^ Thanks Paul. We'll hopefully be down to hang out with you guys a few nights this next year! We're all trying to make it our cruise and fun year instead of building on stuff. I'm excited and looking forward to it!

Making good progress! I've got a bit left to do, but got about 50% of the wiring done. I completely unloomed the entire stock pickup harness from end to end, depinned every single pin on the computer connectors, then attached the sensor connectors to the motor. Ran the wires back to the ecu, and then cut and shortened the circuits as necessary. This way I can also eliminate all the BS in the OE harness and just have the bare bones wiring to run the powertrain. REALLY Trying for an end-of-month startup....but we'll see. Idk, going to be close.

lol. It's not too bad once you get it all unloomed, that's the fun part. A few hrs with a razor on the floor, then seperate it all out.
Still a lot of work tho, I spent the evening Saturday and all day Sunday on it and still have a bit of work left to do. After it's all done tho, man we're very close to firing this pig FINALLY.

Almost there! All purdy: Done! The remaining wires that are labeled on the right go to the factory Vic engine harness. They are injector power, ac request, coil power, tach, mil, ect. Getting very very close to running.

Woot, electrical system done!
All I gots left is the starter wiring, and run a few wires into the cab for the Wideband input to the PCM, Tach and Speedo. The PCM read out perfect through the stock DLC. The Airbag system is also still up and running, and also still reads/functions through the DLC.
Sure getting close. Gotta mount the dipstick tube, run some trans lines, install the shroud for good, some remaining cold side clamps, and we're just about there.
BUT i'm needing some help!
The damn Spectre Performance air intake Elbow just went on backorder AGAIN! I've been waiting 3 weeks, and now they est. it will ship 1/24/13! F That!
Basically I need a 4in O.D. Elbow, between 20-30 degrees on the bend, as short as possible in length.

Ya I think that's the route I'm going to go. I ordered a chrome 30deg elbow and some connectors. We'll see how that looks.

Finished the fuel system after I got done league bowling tonight. Everything looks good, pressure holds and no leaks. It's a little late or i'd write the tune and fire it tonight, but we'll save that for tomorrow. Everything looks good, she starts/dies because of no tune to disable the VATS system. Should have some good running video tomorrow.
