Thanks guys! The '77 finally got some battle testing last night. It raced a known high 14 sec Mustang. From a dig on Mickey's it was pretty close till the truck quit spinning. At one point we thought he lost her it was sideways so bad. Once traction was found the truck threw down pretty good, surpassing the stang by around 60 or so. From a roll the MPH difference was obvious with the '77 pulling by around 5-6 MPH over the stang. The next test was J's '86 C10. We haven't touched this one since last time it was raced. It usually runs mid 13's @ 97-99 MPH. All races were from a 20ish roll, and the '77 pulled away every time. I'd say 1 to 1 1/2 lengths at 1/4. However, the '86 shines from a dig since it has a stall, but that was impossible even on Mickey's with the cold temperatures last night. All the numbers say best run of high 13 @ 98-101. If it can hang and walk J's truck it has to be throwing down high 90's no issue. I'm thinking basement 14's or maybe a high 13. Depends on the D/A in May. Finished weight clocked in at 3860 no driver. Here's a photo looking into the scalehouse at the grain elevator. Dana's trans kit is awesome. I've never felt a 60E shift that good. The 1-2 is amazing, with the 2-3 just as firm. On street tires it breaks traction on the 2-3 at 60mph. The O/D is nice to have. We drove a ways out to mess around, and it pulls around 2200 at highway speed, knocking down around 18ish MPG. When my trans gives this is definately going to be my choice on an upgrade kit. Then we got bored and decided Rod didn't like black and did this last night too:

Thats good waight on that truck, and it seems to be running damm good! sounds like it could break 13s yet. Any plan for down the road yet? 4k stall and a v3 cam would shur do the trick. with all the work you guy do up there u should build a custom turbo and throw in a gt 2-3 cam.

Next year I am getting CAL-Tracs and a SS4000 Converter. Then I will be done for a while. My wife and I need a bigger house in a few years. A family of four is getting to tight in a 2 bedroom 1 bath house. I plan on in a few years to turbo this truck.

My best was a 2.02. Average was a 2.06. Not bad for 4080 race weight and no converter.
