Holy shit! Are you serious? Yeah thats a monster cam! We installed LS6 heads and an MS3 cam on an LS1 GTO here about a month ago or so. I really like that cam! I'm pretty sure it didn't lose any low end, which i'm pretty sure that was thanks to the heads, but it pulled like a bat out'a hell after 5k!

Well I got a Yank SS4000 converter. I should get it next week. And Install it for the july 16 test and tune. If it's not to hot I am looking for a low 13. But if it is really hot I will be happy with a 13.4-13.5.

Awsome, you better hire a camera man i wanna see that beast take off! My guess is that you will shave of a half sec, but you never know.. it could do more, it shur did alot on your ss, should put you a few tenth ahead of your bro for shur so you might get close the 12s in good da. Should get you room for a good sized cam down the road too...

Got the converter installed last night. WOW It's an animal. Hits the tires like a freight training hitting a Buick. No traction til 3rd. Hooks up nice from a 20ish roll so that is a plus. Love the shift extensions rpm never drops below 5000. Looking for 1.75 60' (traction pending).

I wish i could hook up from 20! you think it will stick at the track? i cant wait to see if you will lose any top end, We put a 3800 tci in my bros 5.3 once shifting it at 6200-6300 and i dropped 5 mph. tci stalls are garbage anyways but lets see if yank can build one that wont lose speed with a 2200 rpm stall to shift point.

Wierd I actually gained mph with this converter in my SS. I don't think i will lose any topend. Right now I am thinking it will be iffy if I can hook. It hits the tires so damn hard it goes through first gear in like 1 second. I will try the slicks this week and adjust my suspension.. No matter what I will give it a shot next test and tune on July 16th. I just finished installing my 20,000 lb Tranny cooler. Should keep it cool. It was biggest one I could find that was in stock. Should be enough, This truck only weighs around 4000 with me in it.

Yeah you might be able to get that 60 foot yet with those tires but i bet it will be tuff, the 89 383 had 275-60 mt drag radials and he went 1.76 60 foot with it on those and all we did was drop shakels pulled the over loads and had long bars that i built. but i dont know how much the long bed will hurt you. but i bet that stall is fun, it sounds like its alot looser then mine, if i cruse throw town at light throddle the rpm stay below 2k the hole time, if i want i can keep it under 1500 but i cant drive that slow.. if i just hit the throddle half way down at any cruising speed it flashs to 3500, i have to drop the peddle to the floor and then it gos to 3800 to 4000.

Mild accel is around 3000 rpm, and decent accel is around 3500. Anything over half throttle it stays around 3800. Flashing it it goes to 4200. Yeah it is big and loose.
