Man what a fun night!!!! I was hoping it would pull out a little more on the back end, but was still very pleased with the MPH given I do not know AFR and this is on Pump Gas: However the 60' times were more than enough to Pacify me on the MPH, it was consistent 1.99/2.0/2.03/2.02. Stock 80E stall converter and 3.27 gears. 4150lbs. I tried messing with some shift points, but upping them to 5800rpm lost me about 1mph. She's wheezing around 5400 rpm, so i'm shifting at 5600 rpm. I think the most impressive part was the crowd reaction, man I had SO many people stop by and look the car over and over and over! It was quite a site with the Vic picking on some modified sports cars indeed, what a great time! We definately got the shock factor with the Vic indeed! I'm leaving on Vacation out of the country mid November, so i'm pretty much at a standstill till I get back at this point, then i'll get the AFR gauge installed, some bigger injectors in and turn up the boost. Will have some good GoPro's and sideline videos up late tomorrow/Sunday.

Lol money talks Paul so you never know I do not have any intentions on selling it anytime soon, I like this build on a more personal level due to it being a newer vehicle and in very decent shape. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Nice times Alan, yeah that turbo is going kill your power anywere past 5500 rpm, I won't be surprised if your stuck shifting at 5k rpm on the 10-12 psi. Meaning there's tonssss of power left. my 4.8 thinks 6500 was a bit much but the converter likes it so I shift it there. You have a 64mm ex wheel were you need a 84.

Thanks Jake, I was hoping for a little more back end, but I wasn't taking any chances and the fuel is really cranked up to help keep things safe with no AFR reading, simply wanted to make that last race. Although the exhaust wheel is going to be a limiting factor no doudt, i'm certain it's not coming into play just yet, i'm not moving enough to choke her up that bad. I'm pretty certain the stock cam profile is the limiting factor at the moment. I might just get a little curious here soon and throw in my backpressure gauge to verify I should be able to safely get 600 RW on this setup by running the balls off of it, or changing the cam and running less boost. Although, it's going to be limited above ~12ish psi i'm sure simply because of the smaller exhaust wheel/housing becoming a choke point. Come next year i've got a few changes to make no doudt. Right now and most of next season i'm going to enjoy it tho. Very nice having one that you just go out, hit the key and walk away. The MAF driveability is definately superior so far, and contrary to what people have said, my RH O2 sensor is in the hotside (exposed to back pressure) and as you have seen the KB racing kit I belive has one in the Hot side as well. So far trims look excellent and car has been driving in closed loop for quite some time. No MIL, No idle issues, no hard shifts. I intend on keeping it that way as well, running the MAF on high boost seems to be a non issue as long as you know how to work the tune properly. I'm abut 3/4 of the way to pegging the MAF on this boost. I think I might be able to squeeze 9psi before hitting the top end of it. On J's pickup we were on the 9lb pulley before the MAF tapped out as well. I would assume that's about 600 flywheel HP give or take by the numbers.

Yep, the kb manifold I have now has the 02 sensers both in the hot pipe, and I plan on using them. I had my tune dead on when we tuned it this summer, runs a decent amount richer now, I need atleast the 02s for a daily driver.

Ya you will enjoy closed loop much better. The Vic is just like a stocker, it can be 30 degrees or 110 and you just walk out, bump the key and walk away. Fuel economy is great as well so far! Lovin' the MAF/CL setup. We'll see how well that pans out on real boost after I get back from Vacation.

Ahhhhhh, finally a speedo again! Got the signal converter installed tonight. It is SOOO nice to finally know if i'm speeding or not, and now all the stock insterments work like a champ, and the cruise control is a GREAT plus as well! She's definately a good cruiser car now. Just need to add some more go fast parts and I will be more than satisfied with her. Loving the new age vehicle blended with GEN III power. Here's a vid from dig to 120. The stock stall moves out pretty good before the boost hits, but the 6.0L does offer some decent punch off boost. Still a slug tho, lol, although this is a 12 second car still..lol. 5 psi, 7 psi peak: Now that the odometer is working, the official mileage since birth starts as well. I'm guessing it's got maybe 4-500 miles on it prior to tonight. So far the only issues to report, literally, is the owner can't keep his foot out of it! Driveability, fuel economy, all are just like driving an HD pickup minus a few thousand lbs. Heading South of Cuba in 2 weeks, we'll pick up with moar boost, some nice Pillar Gauges, and more go fast goodies then! Also switched out the Conventional Valvoline 5W30 for some of this: There is a good thread on tech about Thrust Bearing Wear in the turbo and a lot of good information about how the newer age oils are lower in Zinc to meet EPA pollution standards. Read about it here: ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/1595138-important-oil-information-anyone.htmlAnd some very good information about the Zinc not being in any On-Road Oil here: penngrade1.com/CMSFiles/File/July%202011_PG1HP_TECH_LETTER_ZDDP_BRAD_PENN.pdf

You need this!!! www.performancetrucks.net/forums/forced-induction-159/checkout-turbo-510061/That'd be a perfect turbo for a mild 6.0 liter! Yours is creating a good amount of exh pressure im sure. This new 80mm has a 87x77mm exh to your On3's 74x64mm. Stock48 is running a 94x85ish I believe, and he loves it, on a 1.10 a/r too! I sold my Turbonetics TC76/68mm to Tavo, and I ordered me a BW s475 with a 92x82mm 1.10 a/r T4 exhaust. I'm excited to try it out!

LOL, maybe it was a typo John and somebody caught it!!! lol.
In due time the Vic's combo will advance. Yes this turbo is a little restrictive, but that doesn't mean it won't throw down. Let's not forget the guys who have swapped turbo's were still running very impressive E/T's prior to switching out their setups. They simply wanted more and hit that wall on backpressure. 11 anything and i'll be happy with this setup. I plan on running it all year next year, with a major overhaul over next winter which may or may not include some L92's/Cam and most likely a turbo upgrade.
Till then, I don't plan on doing much other than enjoying the car which has been DAMN nice so far, it's great to hop in and do some cruising in the boat! Got to get the windows tinted ganster-legit soon, install the pillar gauges then I can run some respectible boost finally!
lol, ya Jake I was suprised with the stock stall it would cut a 1.9 on the footbrake alone myself! It's got a decent amount of off idle/boost punch no doudt.
You can definately see where a stock cam stops pulling though. My pickup is the same way, after 5400 the airflow drops off dramatically. But it's a good trade cause the low/midrange are there hardcore. If I had a stall though, ya, DEFINATELY would need a cam!
Damn it's going to be a LONG winter!!!

Ya Alans car definetly has some bottom end. I drove his car last weekend and considering we have about the same gear, trans, and stall, His feels like a top fueler compaired to mine. 6.0 ftw.
